Needs - Paint. Rear right caliper was leaking, turned out to be a bleeder open. Have replacement if wanted, brakes fine.
The car was purchased earlier this year by my wife for me after she came into an inheritance and wanted to repay me for supporting her for the better part of a year and a half between jobs and going to college. The car originally came from Maryland, so, it does have some body rust and surface rust, and a little bit of body cancer but nothing terminal. I brought it to CO to see if I could stop that. Mid-June I flew out to MD with my mechanic and picked it up from my brother (Crazy Carl in MD (MA Motorsports)) and drove it 1700 miles home with no issues. The car has passed emissions, I have the papers.
The Koyorad and coolant bottle are a common addition/update - The coolant bottle has a sensor on the bottom that likes to go out, it's a warranty part. When trying to replace the bottle the original radiator nipple snapped, so I decided to upgrade to a full aluminum radiator. All parts on this car were purchased NEW - Stance Suspension replaced a blown stock suspension, BHR coils to replace non oem coils, motor mounts were blown so fixed those, etc, etc. This is a tuned in, dialed up, ready to drive car. All the work to make it ready to drive was done, and the engine is very healthy!
This car is not as pretty as it could be. It has dents, some minor rust and paint chips. It cleans up very well.
Interior is perfect aside from a cigarette burn from the previous owner on the drivers side passenger's seat, and 3 cracks on the passengers side dash - A VERY common issue. At some point in time the original single disk CD player was changed out for a 6 disk that works fine. Interior has minor scuffs and scratches, but what you'd expect for a 11 year old car.
Mileage will go up until the first snow, then it will be stored. It runs great, sounds great, gets 21-22 mpg @ 75-80 on the highway and shifts strong and smooth. City mileage is well, abysmal. It's a rotary. I've made some great memories with this car, and I'm sure you could make many more. Also - the owner of BHR will warranty the coils on the car (lifetime) - You just have to call him and inform him who you purchased the car/coils from, and ask nicely. He's a really good guy.
I've done everything to ensure the longevity of the car, and the best driving experience possible. Take it on 36 up to Estes at full rev's. You'll be grinning for days. Car does not overheat even in traffic, AC blows cold, clutch grabs hard
