Brand new in box. Parts and info came from RX8 Performance.

Here is some info on the plugs:
NGK platinum spark plugs are a surface gap type plug used ideally for use in boosted rotary engines. The leading plugs are a colder heat range which reduces the chances of engine damaging detonation or "pinging". These are aftermarket plugs and are gapped.
Info on the one way check valve for the boosted 8's:
If you are have forced induction on your RX-8 and do not have our check valves installed, you likely have a boost leak!
In most applications when the intake manifold becomes pressurized boost is forced back to the intake from two tubes.
1) The Jet Air Mixing Nozzle tube attached to the lower intake.
2) The factory oil metering tube check valves are known for failure and under boost the oil is pushed back up the metering tubes. This leaves the engine without oil injection until the oil works its way back up the tube. Once the engine is under boost again, the problem returns.
