Loss of power engine sputters

Hey everybody new owner to the RX8 world, iv havnt had any problems with my 2006 RX8 till just last week, when i started up just like any other day and about 3 mins down the road my car starts to sputter and lose power and then it gains it back really quick, that lasts for about a mile then it goes into a constant sputter if i go into any kind of idle with the gas and at that point its random and speratic wether or not i get a boost of power back to normal at all and if i let it go idle at all or stop, the engine just stops but all lights, radio, and everything are still on and working. i can usually start the car back up at this point but i have to cram on the gas pedal to barely get it to move amd i can barely get the rpms up. i would really appreciate any kind of help on the matter as i have never come across this in any car iv owned.
