I just traded in my 2005 S1 GT for a 2009 S2 R3.
I had an AFE short shifter in my S1, which totally spoiled me for anything else - I miss it like crazy. There's no new AFE S2 shifters available, and from the look of things on the forums, there aren't enough people who want one for Rich to justify making another batch. Guess I'll just have to wait until someone is ready to get rid of their S2.
