I over heated my 8 a while back , Had to get a rebuild budget together .
Took engine out this week , took it to rebuilders today , We opened engine up . I was afraid of the loud POP I had heard when I put water in engine .
I was very impressed with Micheal Edwards today he and his guys unloaded my engine and opened her up in about an hour , Cleaned up plates and rotor housings enough to judge the condition of each piece . Micheal said they were a 9 out of possible ten . :)
All plates and rotor housings are in Very good condition ! No groves or flaking on housings , Water seal failure was evident !! Plates had acceptable minor wear .
There was some bearing wear . So I am going to replace the e shaft , rotor bearings , main bearings ,
Heavy duty water seals from Pineapple , oil pan gasket ,oil control ring set . All from Pineapple

Apex seals and side seals , corner seals , and springs , upping oil pressure , complete gasket kit .. ect
I believe my own eyes . With the XRT stage two clutch , in an RX8 raced over 150 hours and counting in endurance events , Redlined every gear ... Ill take the chance !
I have picked up a new factor hood and a factory front bumper to replace the Duraflex
I can't wait to get her running again !!!!
