Well it hit me this weekend that my oldest son starts drivers ed this next school year and as a HS teacher its not like I have money falling out of my pockets :lol: so I need a dual purpose car that can act as a DD that gets better gas mileage than the truck for awhile, a tough inexpensive first car for my son and something that I can use in Solo events in street class. Something that can do it all, so as the SB mantra goes the answer is obviously..... Miata. :cool:
I am looking a NB as close to 2000-2002 as I can get with as low of miles obviously and would prefer the 5spd. So the RX8 is up for sale or trade.
If an autoxer doesn't come begging for this car then it is going to get returned to stock and sold. Would love to get $6000 as it sits but am obviously open to offers.

2005 Sport with 71,507 miles
Car has the Bose sound system
sunroof (yes a detriment but I bought it as a street car to enjoy, solo second)
Leather power seats
new battery replaced 2/15
Coil packs replaced 3/14
Plugs replaced 3/14
gunmetal plastidipped stock wheels with BFG g-Force KDW 245/40/18 with 85% tread. These are my street wheels and Solo rain tires.
Modifications:
Ebay cat back exhaust - stock comes with car
trailer hitch purchased from Mike Burg
Tein springs (P/N when I dig the box out and find it)
Koni Yellows puchased from Mike Burg
Hotchkis adj FSB
2nd set of OEM wheels plasti dipped black with dead 245/40/18 BFG Rivals
Extras:
I have two sets of front rotors never been used with various track pads for HPDE events.
stainless clutch line uninstalled
Mazda Speed3 18x7 wheels with some barely breathing Kuhmo V710's for HPDE's if wanted
Bad:
Passenger front air bag cover has cracks like they all do
slight bolster wear on drivers seat but not ripped
cone marks & scuffs
check engine light because it needs a Cat, planning on replacing with a weld in universal to get light off. I can get light off to pass inspection then it comes back on after about 7-8 key cycles. Car drives fine otherwise.
