It seems as if US, Japan and Mexico care more about the safety of the population than Canada does. ALL Series 1 Mazda RX-8 (2004-2008) have been recalled due to a defective airbag. I have contacted Mazda Canada as well as Canadian Transportation Safety and I am told that there have not been enough complaints or injuries in Canada to issue a recall. Do you think this is fair? Should we just sit around until people start getting really hurt around here? My point is that more Canadians NEED TO COMPLAIN! Contact Mazda Canada, Transportation Safety, even your local dealer.. It looks like this issue is presently under investigation, so the more complaints they start hearing, the better our chances will be of having a safer car too!:ylsuper:
