So I took the new RX8 out tonight. It would be in a out of power. Even at one point it was like full power nothing was wrong. I have spark plugs and wires on the way. Also have a front O2 sensor.
The wife and I both noticed smoke coming from armrest area. The armrest was also hot to the touch. It was like something beneath it was on fire.
I'm guessing my stumbling and misfiring is due to a completely clogged catalytic converter. I'm pretty sure it's the stock cat....the car has 148K on the clock. Yes it's the second engine not worried about that.
I searched but couldn't find anything about the armrest getting hot and smoking through the floorboards.
