Center Ashtray Gauge Pod - DIY

samedi 25 juillet 2015

Granted, its not pretty, but its functional. If you are looking for clean aesthetics its hard to beat the Racing Beat Gauge Pod. I am just building a track car so functionality comes before pretty for me. To make this holder, I essentially removed the entire ashtray section and replaced with a piece of scrap plastic. I modified some home L-brackets and attached to the forward screws in the shift boot.

This is temporary as the entire center console, radio, etc. will be stripped when the cage goes in later this year or next. The other items in the pics are a Rumblestrip Predictive Lap Time, Bully Dog Watchdog engine monitor, and backup camera that is actually able to be left "on" while on the track to see approaching cars (ala TUDOR Corvette, but nowhere near as cool)
