{ FS } 2008 20th Anniversary - 81k - with Extras!

dimanche 26 juillet 2015

After several years of ownership, I have decided to bid farewell to my beloved 40th.

The car has a gorgeous red and black interior, spoiler, and I've added AutoExe strut braces, Racing Beat Oiler Cooler screens, red teflon coated stainless steel brake and clutch lines, and iPod connectivity. Super bright LEDs on the interior, too!

I've taken great care of this since the day I bought it -- cleaned and treated the leather with Lexol, Maguiar's natural shine protectant on the interior plastics, Nufinish on the exterior once per year, washed regularly. Heck, I even treat the rubber seals on the doors, trunk, and engine bay with silicon spray to preserve them.

Exedy stage 1 clutch with heavy duty throw out bearing was done ~20k miles ago. Brakes were done a few months ago and tires (Michelin Pilot Super Sports) have lots of tread left.

She gets oil changes every 3k, almost exclusively with Valvoline 10w40 and Purolator PureOne or Bosch filters. All other fluids are done on or ahead of schedule. Valvoline premium synthetic in the diff, ATE fluid for the the brakes and diff, and BG Synchroshift in the tranny. I clean the MAF regularly, too.

All major maintenance was done by MazCare. I have the full service history from them as well as most of the oil/fluid receipts if you want them.

And just because I've babied her when it comes to maintenance doesn't mean I've babied her when driven. She gets several redline pulls a day to keep her healthy and I always put 7-8oz of Idemitsu premix per tank along with 1.5oz of FP Plus.

Everything works/runs flawlessly. She has been driven, but is a pristine example of a 40th Anniversary -- just needs a collector to take her home.

Car is in about as good as it gets for something that has 81k on the ODO. A small ding on the passenger door near the handle and one on the rear bumper, couple minor rock chips on the front bumper/hood (barely noticable), and a little wear on the side of the driver's seat (real common for RX-8's, as you probably know).

I will post more pictures this week.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
