Just signed up and wont let me post in proper forum, so posting here.
Yesterday car started a few times with no issue. Never had any starting problems, not even hot start issue. Starter and battey seems strong.
Suddenly today, I turn the key to start, and all instrumentation, interior lights, radio, everything turns off. The engine did not even begin to crank.
Tried taking key out and turn again. Still every thing remaining off. Only the security light is on but is turning off like it should. No flashing.
Tried locking and unlocking door with key. Still same thing.
Then I found that if I disconnect, and reconnect the battery, instrumentation and power to everything comes back on like normal, but as soon as I start to crank I get one click and everything shuts down again. Only way to get things to power on again is to repeat the battery disconnect, only to then have it all shut off again if I begin to crank (no actual crank just a click).
I don't think it’s the battery because interior lights are bright after disconnect/reconnect of battery.
Any ideas?
