So I feel like a complete idiot and expect to be berated for this. But I swore I found this information once a long time ago, and now can't find it again.
Basically, gutted cat, need to pass emissions. I have an accessport and will figure out how to delete the CEL, but my question is that if I simply delete the CEL will the car still issue a flag on the ready state on the downstream O2 sensor even with the CEL deleted?
I'm pretty sure they plug in and look at all the errors, and just because the CEL is off, doesn't mean there won't be an error on the ready state for the O2 sensor. Anyone know if this is the case, or even know if you can just tell the computer using the accessport that the o2 sensor is fine and just report it as ready and good? I just got my AP today, but I've been reading and watching vids on it for a week and it doesn't seem I can find an actually answer to this question.
Feel free to call me an idiot while giving me the answer lol, I have to take my car in on Friday so I'm starting to get a bit frantic (I have to go to court next week with my updated tags or pay a $268 fine)
