Like many, I've been lurking here for awhile trying not to get scared off from buying a 2005 RX8 west of the GTA :Freak_ani
I think I must have read 500 pages of new buyer info, debates and discussions and currently have six rx8club tabs open :crazy:
I have always loved the RX7 and then the 8 but also considered the 350Z. The semi usable back seat here finally won me over. I'm OK with the mileage but have to admit, the replaced engine issue still has me just a bit on edge since the car is 10 years old and out of warranty (mileage still would have been well within warranty if it was either/or)
I'm going to have the dealer check compression and give her a through once over. The Mazda tech (not buying it from a Mazda dealer so nothing to really gain for him) actually made me feel pretty confident on this.
It's been awhile since I've had a RWD 6 speed so really looking forward to it again. I also have a custom VTX1800 motorcycle so we'll see which addiction takes me more this Summer!
