First off I'd like to say F$&@ ROTORS! Now that I'm making friends, my name is Jay and this is my new project. Got it from a buddy with a busted motor (go figure). I think the RX8 is the best chassis you can get for the money and if it wasn't for the rotard under the hood I would have bought one years ago. I'm gonna do my best or keep weight distribution as close to the 51/49 but it's asking a lot to keep it. I'm using the Hinson Kit and not really impressed. The master cylinder "kit" needs to have a line made which makes buying a kit useless and the mounts are ridiculous. They are two piece aluminum and twisted as I was putting the motor in. I'm just gonna use Corvette mounts. I just wish they would some instructions worth a damn. And every time I call them I get the generic "we sell a kit for that." Anyway enough complaining made some great progress today.
I used an MGW shifter and the shifter is in the factory position. Works with the factory boot too.
Radiator is a tight fit and instead of the $500+ for the Hinson kit I would recommend using the factory radiator in the factory location which will allow for easier AC line construction.
Stance is literally unaltered. Can't wait to get it on the scales to check distribution
