Hi everyone! my name is Austin, I am new to being a member, but I have done a lot of reading on this site since I got my 8.... which brings me here now.
I have just gotten the car back yesterday from the shop (new clutch) I drove it about 80 miles or so, got off of the interstate and rolled in the throttle, and the car just fell on its face!! bogged down and shut off. while it was doing this I noticed the check engine light flashing.. the car started right back up but light stayed on and I had trouble the rest of the night with it falling on its face and bogging. hooked it up to scanner this morning and got the known by many "misfire" cylinder 2, I also got a "system to lean, bank 1" I deleted the codes.. and I have driven the car 40 miles today with no problem whatsoever... can anyone help me?? or know of someone on here who has had the same issue? I am leaning to the fuel pump. coils, plugs, and wires are all new with 1k on them... any help will be greatly appreciated. I have borrowed a scanner from a guy at work and I'm in the process of trying to data log. but if anyone has any numbers on the datastream I should be looking for to be out of wack, it would be of great help.
I have owned my 8 for two weeks... AND I REFUSE TO GIVE UP ON IT.
