Hey guys, been a while since I've had to post on the forum. But I'm finally getting around to fixing my fuel economy problem on my 8 (to get some Miles Per Gallon as opposed to Galllons Per Mile).
I've been getting around 10-12 MPGs when I drive around town. Usually get about 160 miles on a tank and fill up when I'm 1/8th - 1/4 of a tank. I almost never go on the freeway. I only redline it here and there. Usually about once every time I take it out, other than that I shift between 3k-4k.
When I first start the car it smells extremely rich, which I'm pretty sure is normal. If I remember right the ECU forces a rich mix at first to heat up faster but correct me if I'm wrong. But even after it's warmed up, if I rev my engine way up at a stand still, you can smell it burning pretty rich.
So... I really only think it could be a problem with the O2 sensors. But I know that people usually get a CEL if the A/F ratio is rich and the O2 sensors need to be replaced. Any tips?
