Rotary Resurrection Review 3-14-15

lundi 13 avril 2015

On this date I received my Rebuilt Renesis engine from Kevin at Rotary Resurrection.

His website was very helpful in helping me decide what to do and when the engine needed to be rebuilt.

I decided to pull the engine myself using his Thread - http://ift.tt/1sZGBP7

It was very helpful and made the experience easier.

Once pulled I delivered the engine to him in person. He was very professional and spent a good time answering all my questions and even showing me around his shop explaining the process, parts, and possible upgrades I could get.

Not long after 3-5 days I received an email detailed with all the pictures of the engine. Unfortunately it was in bad condition and required extra parts. He sent me several options to choose from. Cheap options to expensive options. Was extremely helpful and catered to my needs. I also needed new accessories that he was able to get for me significantly cheaper than anywhere else. (oil injectors and rebuilt OMP lines)

After choosing the route it was not 2-3 days later that he had it painted assembled and ready to pick up. At pick up he had a packet with everything I needed to know to re-install. Oil priming, break in procedure and a disk with disassemble and assembly pictures.

Once home I re-installed the engine and had made the mistake of not marking injector lines. After doing everything in the packet I started it. Not knowing I had mixed up the injector plugs.(I checked them several times thinking I had them correct)

Once running it had a constant miss-fire and had me baffled as to what was wrong.

In fear of messing the engine up I emailed Kevin telling him the symptoms and everything I had already checked. He quickly responded, although impossible to diagnose something with out seeing in person. He told me what he thought it was and lo and behold My fiance found the mistake.

(light green - dark green injector wire plugs had been swapped)

Would not have looked if not for his tech support.

Once problem was fixed it ran like a dream and continued with his break in procedure. Currently at 600 miles on the engine and will update as I go.

Starting is now crisp (hot starts perfectly) and have had absolutely no issues.

Gotta wait till 1000 miles to pass 4k RPM.

Over all

Pricing is unbeatable

Communication was Excellent and I can always count on him to email me back even after his job had been completed.

Build Quality is perfect had all parts in stock and was no wait time for unforeseen problems. (new crank, bearings, housing, and OMP lines)

I highly recommend him to anyone needing a rebuild.
