I am Nemesistyx, a new member and driver of an rx8!

Hello, I am a new rx8 owner. I bought a 2004 rx8 with 74k miles on it, it is in great condition. However I am new to shifting, it is a manual. I love this car, it is quiet unique and it demands attention. I have have struggled with first because it's clutch and gas have a very specific and small zones. I hope to find out more and more about the rx8 as I have already learned a lot. However I have already ran into something(that my mind might be just making up). Only in first when clutch is pressed and I am slowing down I hear what I would call a something spinning slowing down with friction. If I slow down the same way with it in 2nd it does not do it. Should I be worried, and or possibly already did the car wrong? I again, am very proud to own this blue beauty!
