I have an 06 rx8 and suddenly I'm having power issues. When I got the car the previous owner had told me that it's going to need a new apex seal which I'm fully aware can lead to compression issues but has yet to be a problem. Only issue was that it would leak a tiny amount of oil and have to top it up from time to time. I've has the car for 3 months now and just yesterday it's all of a sudden acting up. I'd topped up my oil...now starting in first or any gear for that matter it's barely moving while I have to Rev it pretty high. Every gear is pushing more rpms than normal and it's almost non responsive. It's due for an oil change but should I get a compression test done as well? Also wondering what it will roughly cost to change the apex seal?
Suddenly have no power....
