2nd hand engine queries

Right guys I was on last month. .bought a perfect little rx8 for ridiculously cheap. ..low compression 55psi all chambers front and rear rotors. ..
looking at a rebuild. .atkins kit
..no problems there.
ive been offered a 190 engine. ..supposedly perfect. ..out of a crashed car...
50k miles or km...duno til i get there...
if it has good compression. .. (won't be buying otherwise )
they are looking for 500 euro...
thats 600 ish dollars. ..
395 sterling.
he will throw in all ancillaries. ..and a good cat...
thoughts guys?
rebuild my own or take a gamble on this engine. ..
mine is a 190 by the way with 65.000 miles...warm start problem. ..cuts out at low revs when warm..starts cold..runs fine over 1000revs
keep in mind here in Ireland. .500-1000 euros is the going rate for any 2nd hand engine. ..
