I have a suspected dead or just about dead pump in my s1 with 130,000km on it.
The thing is the car had a 3/4 tank when it stopped working, I tried to siphon but was unable to - so then I tried the fuel jumper with the fuel line routed to a gas can - that worked, although the pump was slow - but then it got slower and slower and finally just a dribble about 5 min into it. I had a backup batter source connected the entire time.
Seems to confirm my dead pump, but I am stuck with a little under 1/2 tank and need to be able to pull the pump and not have gas explode. How close am I? Any way to remove it from the top of the pump once I have my rear seat up?
