I learned today that Jim Mederer has died on Dec 27. Jim was co-founder of Racing Beat A History of Racing absolute pioneers in rotary engine technology and development. He owned several land speed records at Bonneville with RX-7s, one after coming back from a spectacular crash the year before which had him flying through the air and landing on the roof. He developed the tune on my current car 🙂 and was responsible for building and tuning the alcohol fueled 3rotor in the amazing Mazda Furai http://ift.tt/2idtOdg which met It's untimely end at the hands of Top Gear http://ift.tt/2idAtEq The car enthusiast world just lost a giant.
