Instead of make a build thread up front then wait for the result I decided to make the thread after I have the car back, so less of a build thread and more of a reveal.
My setup used to be a MM GT3071R run with an AccessPort (build thread here). I ran this setup from approx 50k tp 60k miles and was overall unsatisfied with it. The mid range was good but at around 6500RPM it would fall on its face and feel like it hit a wall. I was on the fence about keeping it around once the original engine took a **** but a cracked downpipe forced my hand early. Trying to find replacement parts for the GReddy kit was the nail in the coffin for the MSP. It was time to cast off the side port oppression and get the peripheral ports I always wanted.
All the parts from my previous build were retained unless otherwise stated like the BHR ignition, Griffon radiator, IC (custom piping), exhaust, cat, etc.
High level is:
My goal was more than 400rwhp which Speed1 hit. The initial build was around 430rwhp but there was an issue on the dyno and it puked oil all over the place requiring another rebuild (at no cost to me).
Stock 6 speed is still being used so I didn't want to tempt fate by pushing for more power than that after talking with them. I may go to the FD transmission in the future and seek more power but right now it's feeling great :mdrmed:
Still using the AEM Tru Boost with off being around 10psi iirc, setting A @ 12psi, and setting B @ 14-15ish psi.
Dyno done with Mil.Spec Evo cat. The AEM pump and BHR throttle adapter are there but not being used.
All labor and tuning was done by Speed1 in PA. I attached the full parts list for those interested in what the swap entailed in exact detail but I omitted the costs :wink2:
