OK, So I thought my RX8 could swim!!

I drove my 2004 RX8 through a flooding area and it died. It wouldn't start so I pulled it two blocks. I let it dry out for a few hours but nothing. The engine wouldn't budge. So me and my sister pulled the engine out drained the oil which had no water in it, and pulled the plugs, which had water in two of them, but still the engine would not turn. When we finally got enough manpower and a breaker bar that wouldn't break we were able to turn the engine and water came out.

My question is -- Has anyone had this happen and is it possible that the rotor is ok?
because i'm thinking about putting it back in to see if it is ok.???
