Rotary Mechanic around northern Houston

Hey all noobie here. I've wanted a an rx8 ever since i could remember and now it would appear my dream is coming true. I have found an rx8 with 65k miles on it for a fair amount of money. The only problem is I know about the maintenance required to upkeep a rotary engine whereas a lot of people who go out and buy them have no clue what they're doing. I asked the guy if he had properly maintained this rx8 rotary engine and his response was, "it's in good condition and runs great." Great way to dodge a question. So what I would like to do is test drive this thing out to a mechanic who knows about rotary engines and make sure everything is in good condition. It would suck to pick up this car and have the engine fail a week later. So if there's anyone, it doesn't even have to be a mechanic i'd settle for a rx8 enthusiast who knows about the engine and can verify it's in good condition, around northern houston let me know if and when I can bring this car up to make sure it's been treated right.
