About 2 months ago I did it in the tradional way I think.Pretty sure that's the only way to flood the rotary is by not bringing it to operating temp.
I just didn't feel comfortable about the solutions I was finding untill I found this
I didn't even consider taking out the plugs to clean the chamber of unburned fuel as the mention of fire got my full attention.
As instructed I turned the engine over twice for 10 seconds each with the 20 amp fuel pump fuse removed to clean the chamber. Then I reinstalled the fuse and after about 10 or 12
attempts she fired up and produced as expected a HUGE cloud of white smoke. My 8 was parked in an underground parking so I did it late at nite and I am glad I did.
That's a hell of a lot smoke. The engine ran terrible for a couple of minutes and a good run on the thruway all was right in the world again.
