long story short i picked up an 04 rx8 auto with a blown engine it still ran after we would unflood it :sweatdrop
me and a buddy rebuilt it.
it fires up right away after the rebuilt and idles fine
replaced the coil packs with

also got some ngk wires with the deal on amazon.
replaced the transmission(would slip)
magnetic coil pick sensor
redid all three of the vacuum lines from the solenoids to ssv valve etc...
gutted catalytic converter (for now)
cooler oil thermostat
AEM 320 lph fuel pump
did the 20 pump break pedal also disconnected and pressed the break pedal but
the check engine light(comes back wit the air pump) iwill get exact code later bu t i know it was to do with emissions
bads
transmission oil is a bit over filled
the car under a quick WOT it bogs/pops at the same time, then accelerates very well...
then when i bring it to a full stop auto mode (break pedal pressed hard from 15mph ) it suddenly dies.. kinda struggles abit to start but it fires up.
200 or less miles under the rebuilt so compression must be abit low....
i plan to give the car to my step son (i don't hate him... just don't want him vapeing or own a wrx lol )
