Today I compression tested my car and got around 5 on the front rotor (150ish crank) and a 6.1 on the rear rotor with 200ish crank. My mechanic also tested it and said it was within spec( not a Mazda mechanic)
When we had it jacked up for the test after testing housing 1 we started it again (after cleaning plugs) with no problem. Let it run a bit so housing 2 would be accurate, shut it off and 30 seconds later turned it back on no problem despite being warm. After we finished I took the car for a drive when we came back it didn't want to start warm.
The o2 sensor in my car is bad and I think it is causing my car to run rich sometimes and lean other times, fouling my plugs and cashing my hot start but I'm not sure. My father thinks it's flooding the car when I shut it off making me wait a bit before I can get it restarted again
Just upgraded the starter to a 2008.
My car is 2005 automatic with 144k miles. No rebuild as far as I know. No power loss. Burns about a quart of oil every 500 miles or so.
I just ran fuel treatment through it a couple of weeks ago.
Checking my coils tomorrow.
