Intended to post this in Series I Trouble Shooting section, but for some reason site treats me as a new member, and doesn't let me post anything but responses in other sections, other than New Member forums.
Hopefully a mod can either correct this or let me know what i havent done right/did wrong, or fix it.
Anyways.
My 04 Touring is making an interesting 'high pitched mechanical/metal on metal/friction' whine upon startup. It sounds like nothing ive heard in a rotary before, or a piston engine either. May be some sort of high pressure valve/setup; no idea. Has since the day i bought it; i just want to know what it is, and why its there.
I intended to post a sound clip and video clip based on where one was standing, properly calibrated so you could hear what i am talking about. I work in film/television, but dont have my good recording equipment (video or audio) at the moment; this weekend i will have access to them and an open soundstage so i can properly record and deliver an accurate representation of the 'noise' i am referring to.
