Failing to keep power after 6500 RPMS

vendredi 12 décembre 2014

Ok look i have read that it may the ignition coils, exhaust is messed up, and others but here is my issues.

I started to drive it the other day and when i got the RPMS past 6500 it started to blow smoke out the exhaust, lost power, and the smell was bad like i am burning plastic or something, the CEL light came on and started to blink and after i pulled over it stopped blinking but stayed on, so i checked the codes and it is giving me P0661, but isn't that the censor for oxygen regulator? I recently put on an AEM cold air intake and thought that was the reason for the CEL code, so has this happened to anyone else? Could it be that censor could be messing up my loss of power? I'm asking because i dont think i will replace it if the AEM intake is doing this, because it would be pointless if i cant fix the issue of having this on, but whats even more funny is the car ran fine after i put it on, i let my buddy ride it and he was revving it up and he said he heard a loud bang other from what we would normally hear, but i didnt see any issues until two weeks later. Let me know gentlemen, thank you.

Also admins if i put this is the wrong place please forgive me, and yes i did read a ton of threads but i still feel unclear on whats wrong, because they had similar issues that i said but never smoke or loss of power after revving up to high RPMs.
