Car finally died, replacing the engine/ tranny

lundi 15 décembre 2014

My first engine finally bit the dust. Looks like a side seal issue. Got this local guy to do it. He's got a huge reputation is the Roanoke area so I'm glad to hand it over to good hands. I dunno what I'll do with the old engine and tranny. The mechanic suggested I sell them to some local motocross guys. We'll see how things look when he pulls them out. I know the tranny is in good shape.

In the meantime I'm rocking my mother-in-law's Fiat 500... Which looks even weirder when I'm dressed out in camo with a back seat full of firepower and my 72 hour pack. Hunting season, the roadside shows the following vehicles... Ram, ram, F450.. Ram... Silverado, ram, ram.... Fiat...ram, f450, ram.

I'll know more about the pulled components in a few weeks, I'll let you guys know how the work is going when those come out. Some of you guys might be interested in my mechanic if you live in the new river valley and are looking for a skilled specialist. I'll keep you posted.
